Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) has launched its nine-month long ‘BIBD Mega 30’ campaign, offering prizes up to B$130,000 to 300 customers in conjunction to its 30th Islamic banking anniversary celebration.
The campaign which begins tomorrow to November 30 will reward 30 winners monthly, three quarterly winners and three grand winners. Monthly winners will receive cash vouchers; quarterly winners with BIBD Aspirasi savings certificates and mutual investments; while three grand prize winners will walk away with term deposit or mutual funds investments worth B$10,000 each.
To be eligible for the campaign, customers by either assigning their salaries to BIBD; sign up for eligible accounds, credit cars and financing facilities with the bank; invest in mutual funds; and to sign up or upgrade to BizNet Premium Package.
Customers can also make entries into the campaign by using QuickPay and Virtual Mastercard for any transactions. Entries are counted per first transaction then subsequently, for every B$20 spent using either one of the facilities.
Entries to the campaign will also be stacked up for customers who signed up for multiple BIBD products throughout the campaign.
BIBD’s Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail Banking Group Irwan Lamit in a press statement said:
“Alhamdulillah, in January we celebrated the 30th anniversary of Islamic banking which marked the successful journey of the establishment of Islamic banking in Brunei since 1993. This milestone would not have been possible without the continuous support of our customers over the years,” said Irwan bin Lamit, BIBD’s Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail Banking Group.
“In showing our appreciation for their support, we invite our customers to be part of the 30th anniversary celebration and their continuous patronage during this 9-month campaign will be filled with exciting rewards,” he added.
This is the first time the bank is offering large-scale joint promotions through its Retail Banking Group, Corporate Banking Group and BIBD Securities business units under the ‘Mega 30’ umbrella, he said. The campaign is open to all new and existing BIBD customers. The promotion covers a wide range of products and services offered by the bank.
Through the campaign BIBD is displaying its commitment to promote a digital e-money to support the ‘Smart Nation’ agenda and Brunei Vision 2035.
