The BIMP-EAGA Business Council delegation members from Brunei, Malaysia and Philippines attended an official visit to the Ghanim International Corporation head office in Salambigar Industrial Park.
Accompanying the delegation was Pengiran Haris bin Pengiran Haji Duraman, the Chairman of BEBC Brunei as well as Haji Alimen Haji Jaafar, BEBC Country Director of Brunei. In attendance to receive the delegation members was the Acting CEO of Ghanim International Corporation and Senior Investment Manager of Darussalam Assets, Yang Mulia Edzwan Zukri bin Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Adanan.
Ghanim International Corporation Sdn Bhd was established by the Government of Brunei Darussalam in 2009 to play a key role in the development of the food industry and diversification of the economy by developing, marketing and promoting bruneihalalfoods products in Brunei and across the world. To date, Ghanim actively works in partnership with local businesses for product development and production of innovative Made in Brunei products. To further support the national aspirations for exports, import substitution initiatives and food security in Brunei as well as strengthen MSMEs capacity to manufacture products, Ghanim has establishing a Brunei Food Industry (BFID) Multipurpose Manufacturing and Processing Facility as a platform for the Brunei food industry development.
The visit by the international BIMP-EAGA Business Council delegation explores potential collaboration opportunities with Ghanim International to invest further into Brunei’s F&B sector.
Later in the afternoon, the international BIMP-EAGA Business council delegation attended a tour and presentation from Rukun Al Yaqeen (RAY) International Sdn Bhd at the RAY Serasa Integrated Marine Supply Base. Present to welcome the delegation was RAY International Managing Director, Mr Zakaria Aziz. RAY International is a dynamic and aspiring business corporation with interests in technology, design & engineering, construction, services, manufacturing, trading, training and logistics with offices based in Brunei and Oman.
