BIBD celebrates solid relations at partner appreciation day

Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) recently celebrated its strong relationships with over 1,200 partners and customers at its Partner Appreciation Day held over two days in Brunei-Muara and Kuala Belait Districts.

Invited guests consisted of BIBD’s strategic partners from both the public and private sectors across various industries. The event was first held held on January 1 at The Empire Brunei in Jerudong and continued on January 2 at the V Plaza Hotel in Kuala Belait.

Hosting the event was Managing Director and CEO Junaidi Haji Masri, who attended to the invited guests. Also attending to the guests were BIBD’s senior management team as well as staff and personnel of the bank.

BIBD, as the nation’s Partner in Progress, is highly appreciative of the support and trust from its strategic partners who collaborate with the bank in accomplishing projects that are well-aligned with the bank’s values and national goals to ultimately contribute to the success of Brunei’s economy and prosperity.

Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) is the largest Islamic financial institution in Brunei. With assets worth B$10.7 billion, the Bank serves over 200,000 customers across Brunei, from retail, corporate as well as international clients.

Headquartered in Bandar Seri Begawan, BIBD has eighteen (18) branches at strategic locations covering the four (4) districts in Brunei – Temburong, Brunei Muara, Tutong and Belait.

As Brunei’s flagship Islamic bank, BIBD has the largest network of ATMs in the country and the largest contact centre with digital mobile chat capability, serving over a quarter of the Bruneian population.

BIBD has been rated A- by Standard & Poors since 2015, and ISO9001:2015 certified since 2019. The bank was named The Asian Banker’s Best Managed Bank in Brunei in 2019 and Strongest Bank in Brunei by Balance Sheet since 2016, as well as Best Retail Bank in Brunei from 2013 to 2021.

BIBD was also recognised as The Banker’s Bank of the Year 2020 & 2021, and Global Finance’s Safest Bank in Brunei from 2016 to 2021.
