The Indonesian state-owned enterprise PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (PELINDO) will be hosting the BIMP-EAGA Maritime 2023 Conference at the JW Marriott Hotel in Jakarta next month.
The three-day summit which will begin on February 21 is a major international trade and investment event, with this year’s iteration carrying the theme BIMP-EAGA: Breakthrough Excellence.
It will be held in Indonesia also known as The Emerald of the Equator, to promote and facilitate trade and economic development throughout the BIMP-EAGA region through transportation and logistics.
The event said to be the biggest Annual Ports, Shipping and Transport Logistics Exhibition and Conference in the Brunei Indonesia Malaysia Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP EAGA), will feature over 30 world-class international business leaders.
Senior executives from leading shipping lines, shippers, cargo owners, freight forwarders, logistics companies, investors, economists, consultants, ports, port equipment and IT services suppliers will be analysing the latest global transportation and logistics issues.
Meanwhile, a concurrent trade exhibition will take place featuring 40 international and local companies as well as sponsors, showcasing port and transport-related state-of-the-art products, services and the latest technologies for ports, shipping and logistics.
Six roundtable discussions will be held; covering areas related to the BIMP-EAGA Economic Corridor investment opportunities, elements of success and leadership, sub-regional collaboration, innovation for port infrastructure and transformation strategies around the area.
The event is hoped to give participants further insight into port expansion and trade perspectives from the private sector while analysing market opportunities with like-minded professionals, for networking purposes.
The BIMP-EAGA Maritime 2023 is fully supported by the BIMP-EAGA Business Council, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Indonesia, and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN Indonesia).
