BETCON23 is a premiere event held in conjunction with the 26th BIMP-EAGA Ministerial Meeting and other related Meetings will take place from 25th October 2023 to 29th October 2023 at the Bridex Hall, Jerudong,Brunei Darussalam.
BIMP-EAGA Business Council (BEBC)is delighted to announce BETCON23 is organized by BIMP-EAGA Business Council Brunei, endorsed by The Ministry of Finance and Economy and supported by Muara Port Company Sdn Bhd (MPC). BEBC has appointed D’Sunlit Sdn Bhd as the official Event Management and Contractor. The signing ceremony of this appointment was held this morning at Gadong . Signing on behalf of D’Sunlit Sdn Bhd was its Managing Director , Mr Jackson Ting while Pg (Dr) Haji Haris bin Pg Duraman ,BEBC Chairman signed on behalf of BIMP-EAGA Business Council .
BETCON23 is scheduled to draw around 300 vendors and 1,000 delegates from BIMP-EAGA regions, as well as BIMP-EAGA Development Partners Korea, Japan, China, Northern Territory of Australia, and International Vendors. BETCON23 provides a venue for enterprises from the BIMP-EAGA region and beyond to present their products, services, and investment prospects. It also provides a unique opportunity for networking, knowledge exchange, strategic alliance formation, and the strengthening of economic ties between the BIMP-EAGA regions, BIMP-EAGA Development Partners, and International Vendors.
The primary goal of BETCON23 is to promote trade, tourism, and investment that complement the outcomes of the five strategic pillars of BIMP-EAGA Vision 2025: (1) enhance connectivity, (2) establish the sub-region as Asia’s food basket, (3) promote BIMP-EAGA as a premier tourism destination, (4) sustainably manage natural resources, and (5) promote people-to-people connectivity.
Brunei, as the current Chairman of the main Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area Business Council (BEBC), has planned this international event as part of the BEBC’s efforts to carry out the BIMP-EAGA Leaders’ mandate for the BEBC as a private sectors to establish collaboration and expand our networking in order to promote trade, tourism, investment, and development of the sub-region through the BEBC platform.
Many activities will take place throughout the course of the 5-day event, including Keynote presentations on important regional and global themes; a B2B exhibition; business matchmaking and a market place; business forums, the signing of Memorandum of Understanding and Memorandum of Agreement amongst/ between the BIMP-EAGA Business Councils, its development partners and beyond.
A gala night dinner is also planned, during which we will honour and celebrate deserving entrepreneurs from the BIMP-EAGA region in a variety of categories.
